The second corona wave has Germany firmly in its grip. While many companies and schools are apparently going into the second lockdown unprepared, the Academy of Health Berlin/Brandenburg eV has already taken measures at an early stage to ensure that classes can continue even in times of the pandemic. In addition to the comprehensive modernization and digitization measures at the three locations in Berlin-Buch, Bad Saarow and Eberswalde, the AdG has now practically opened up a fourth learning location for itself: the digital learning space.

In addition to expanding the AdG's already existing digital learning platform and adding the fully data protection-compliant video conferencing system "Big Blue Button", the Eberswalde emergency medical school is currently testing the virtual learning and conference environment from TriCat Spaces. Here it is possible to use a virtual academy with different rooms and meeting points in a digital setting and thus enter into professional and pedagogical exchange in teacher lectures, group work and one-on-one discussions without having to accept the risk of infection.

This means that at the Academy of Health Berlin/Brandenburg eV, in addition to the traditional classroom teaching methods, we also have the opportunity to offer hybrid teaching, partially digitalized blended learning and now, new, fully virtual e-learning.

Under the heading of learning with digital media, the Academy of Health Berlin/Brandenburg eV has now laid the foundation to be well prepared for the future and hopefully continue to show the way as an example of modern medical profession education.
