The first Eberswalde PPTM course took place at the Eberswalde campus in the week of February 15th to 19th, 2021. With the support of the training team and the Polytrauma working group from Bad Saarow, we were able to hold a "Pre-Hospital PolyTrauma Management" course for the first time at the Eberswalde campus, in which the participants in the emergency paramedic vocational training were taught the necessary knowledge and work techniques to successfully care for severely injured patients in accordance with guidelines and to provide them with the necessary therapy. The focus was on the care of severely burned patients, accident victims and victims of violent crimes of all age groups, and the guidelines of the German Society for Trauma Surgery were particularly addressed. In independent learning, one focused theoretical and two practice-oriented training days, the future emergency paramedics were given the tools to provide their severely injured patients with the best possible help.
We are particularly proud of our "NFS-18-10-2" because not only did everyone pass the written and practical exams and can therefore call themselves "PPTM providers", but also because the feedback from the experienced PPTM lecturers speaks volumes. One of the lecturers said in the evaluation afterwards: "The participants showed exemplary discipline. I also felt that the participants worked through the practical examples with a high level of expertise and commitment." At this point we would like to thank all the participants in the course, as well as the team of lecturers from Bad Saarow and the PPTM instructors for an educational and exciting week with us at the Eberswalde campus.
