Surgical and anesthesia technical assistance

There is a major shortage of skilled workers not only in the nursing professions, there are also many vacancies in the field of anesthesia and surgical technical assistance. The Academy of Health is aware that there is a very high level of interest and need for an adaptation course to gain recognition for the training profession of anesthesia and surgical technical assistance. The Board of the Academy of Health has re-examined and evaluated the offer of an adaptation course for 2022, especially against the background of the nationwide uniform training of surgical and anesthesia technical assistants, which will come into force on January 1, 2022. The Academy of Health sets high quality standards for professional training, which must also be ensured with the introduction of the uniform training of surgical and anesthesia technical assistants. The preparation and implementation of this training will also be a major focus of work in the coming year, requiring time and personnel resources. Against this background, the board of the Academy of Health decided not to offer an adaptation course for surgical and anesthesia technicians for the time being. We are happy to answer any further questions you may have.
