Midwifery care is inadequately developed worldwide. This fact has been highlighted every year since 1991 on today. Midwives provide a wide range of competent and comprehensive care for women and their families during pregnancy, birth, the postpartum period and breastfeeding. The Academy of Health's midwifery school would also like to use the day to once again recognize the profession of midwifery.
Today we celebrate together and honor all those who dedicate their work to the health of mothers, their children and their families.
We would therefore like to wish all midwives and midwives-to-be a happy International Midwifery Day!
