Dangerous situations in the emergency services

Emergency services are increasingly reporting on dealing with patients who are prone to violence or are under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The resulting dangerous situation unsettles employees both in the emergency services and in the hospital. In the training, coping strategies and behavioral patterns are developed, trained and reflected upon with the participants.

Continuing education for practical instructors

The training is aimed at emergency physicians, doctors, emergency paramedics, rescue assistants, paramedics and nursing staff with completed training in the rescue service or health care sector.

Registration documents

  • Proof of completed training in the emergency services or healthcare sector
  • Communication with violent clients
  • Approaching helpless persons from the perspective of self-protection
  • Protective postures and safe standing in case of attacks by intoxicated people, simple coping strategies
  • Overpowering violent persons in the ambulance and restraining/fixing this person on the stretcher
  • Cooperation with the police in crowds
  • Basics of criminal and criminal procedural law (self-defense, emergency assistance, offenses of omission, right of arrest by anyone)
  • Certificate from the Academy of Health eV
  • 6 points LÄK Brandenburg are requested
