Vocational training for practical instructors in health and social care institutions

You want to take on more responsibility in the professional and quality development of your profession. As a practical supervisor, you are responsible for the practical learning environment. You are responsible for organizing and designing the internship course on the basis of the practical training framework plan. You guide the trainees towards an independent perception of professional tasks. The development of basic pedagogical attitudes and support in the reflection of professional action requirements and planned instructions in the workplace are elements of your work.

You plan and manage the practical training independently and on your own responsibility. You work together with the practical support staff of the training provider and thus ensure the transfer of theory to practice. You support the training participants in their skills development and structure the legally prescribed 10% instruction time. You apply pedagogical concepts in the instruction process, organize the practical learning location, use assessments to develop, secure and evaluate skills, taking into account the individual situation of the trainees.

Target group / requirements

You are a health and (pediatric) nurse, geriatric nurse or surgical assistant from cooperating institutions of the Academy of Health and would like to participate in the training of new specialists. You usually have one year of professional experience in the profession you have learned before starting the further training.
