Deepen your knowledge of palliative care!
Our refresher course is a targeted refresher training course for palliative care professionals. The goal is to deepen your knowledge, develop new skills, and promote peer exchange. This course will keep you up to date with the latest scientific and practical developments and consolidate the skills acquired in the basic course.
Objectives and content:
- Refresh your knowledge: Deepen what you learned in the basic course and integrate it into your everyday professional life.
- Strengthen your skills: Strengthen your skills in palliative care through practical exercises and sharing experiences.
- Exchange experiences: Take advantage of the opportunity to exchange ideas with other professional groups, such as nurses and social workers, in a protected environment.
- Current topics: Get to grips with new developments, scientific findings, and practical challenges.
- Reflection and support: Create space for reflection on your own working methods and how to deal with frustration, overwhelm, and grief.
- Specific topics: Depending on the course offering, special topics such as the interpretation of nonverbal signals or the hospice attitude can also be explored in more depth.
Caring for seriously ill and dying patients and their families is one of the most demanding tasks in multi-professional collaboration. This course takes into account the enormous sensitivity and increasing prevalence of this topic.
In addition to practical case studies, the focus is on exchange, mutual appreciation, and opportunities for self-care and reflection on one's own attitudes. Participants' individual thematic requests and suggestions are actively incorporated into the events.
