Paramedic exam

Paramedics are people who are trained in accordance with the principles for training personnel in the rescue service and who are employed in the rescue service. They work in emergency rescue and patient transport in accordance with their qualifications and the country-specific regulations.

Continuing education for practical instructors

You can register for the paramedic exam if you meet the following entry requirements:

  • Completion of the 18th year of life
  • Secondary school certificate or equivalent qualification or completed vocational training
  • Training as a rescue assistant (basic paramedic course) and additional internship in the hospital and in the rescue station (160 hours each)
  • health and personal suitability to practice the profession
  • Recommendation of the driving license, level C 1

Registration documents

  • Proof of school leaving certificate or professional certificate
  • Proof of basic training as a paramedic
  • Proof of health suitability

The exam includes a written, oral and practical part.

  • Certificate as a paramedic issued by the Academy of Health eV
